Jammu and Kashmir: Two injured after car plunges into gorge in Doda A police offi

Two persons, including the driver, were injured after their car met with an accident at Marsoo Morh (Assar) in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday.

A police official said that a car (bearing registration number JK08C-0350) was on way to Jammu from Doda when the mishap took place at Marsoo Morh near Assar, on Batote-Doda-Kishtwar highway.

He said that the vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a 150-feet deep gorge after its driver lost control while negotiating a curve.

DySP HQ Doda Iftkhar Ahmed said that a police team led by SHO Assar Naveen Agarwal rushed to the spot and along with locals started rescue operation. 

They shifted both the injured persons to CHC Assar.
The injured were identified as Abid Hussain (driver), son of Altaf Hussain, resident of Tandla Bhatyas and Javed Iqbal, son of Shamas Din, a resident of Gandoh.
Police has registered a case in this regard at Police Station Assar and further investigation is going on, said the official.
